SINGHORI WILDLIFE SANCTUARY




The Singhori Wildlife Sanctuary was established in the year 1976 spread over a total area of 288 sq. km. The Tiger, Leopard, Sambhar, Chital, Wild Boar, etc. are amongst the most spotted animal species here. Choukigarh Fort, Bhandariya Temple, and Caves of Jamgarh. On the Occasion of Shivratri, a fair is organized at various temples around the Sanctuary like the Bhandariya, Shiv Temple. Also places like Bhopal, Delabadi, Bhojpur, Pachmarhi are around the Sanctuary, which serve as wonderful touring spots for visitors. Forest Rest House, Bhandiv Forest Rest House Bumhori, P. W. D. Rest House, Bari is available for accommodation at the Sanctuary.

JHEEL MAHOTSAV, BHOPAL





Jheel Mahotsav 2014. Bhopal Jheel Mahotsav Samiti, Government of Madhya Pradesh in collaboration of Directorate of Culture for the first time in this city of lakes Bhopal is organising Jheel Mahotsav, a three day cultural festival.


The festival would be organising at various locations like Boat club, Khanugaon, Siar Sapata, Motia Lake, Bharat Bhawan, Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum among others in addition to other district Headquarters. This three day festival aims to inform the public about lake and lake-shore values and to increase respect for the perseverance of water through primitive method and means. Numbers of artists belonging to various art forms are invited from all over the country to give performances of cultural activities, vocal, instrumental etc in the festival. Extending the innovation Jheel Mahtosav, mobile stages are being created for the dance performances which are to be rendered from morning 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM evening on all the three days of Mahotsav from 14th- 16th February.

SAMARDHA JUNGLE CAMP


Samardha Jungle Camp is 36 km from Bhopal and is the first community based Eco-tourism site of Madhya Pradesh. History of Samardha goes back to the time of erstwhile Nawab's of Bhopal, who frequently visited Samardha for hunting and was famously called as "Shikargah of Nawab". Samardha provides opportunity for tourists to sight both herbivores and carnivores camouflaged in dense forest.
