M.P. State, Tourism Development Corporation makes efforts for exploring all possibilities for the growth of tourism and in-turn generation of revenue for the state of M.P. Head Office building for MPSTDC was therefore envisaged to portray a corporate image of the office. Attempts have been made to achieve articulately carved out, well planned, well lit congenial spaces while developing the concept. The building is now physically present to feel the spaces in reality. The exterior portrays composition as well as defined masses with clarity in combination of solids and voids.

PREAMPURA (SAIR SAPATA)- NEW PICNIC SPOT

Sair-Sapata has been developed by Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation to extend tourist facilities in the State and city of lakes. The ‘Sair-Sapata’ entertainment zone has been developed at a cost of `10.37 crore at Sewaniya Gaur, Bhopal with a view to expand tourist facilities in Bhopal.  Bhopal’s name will emerge on word tourism map due to this project. People of all age groups can enjoy at the same place in ‘Sair-Sapata’.
Sair-Sapata tourism complex is spread over an area of 24.56 acres. Cable suspension bridge connecting Prempura and Sewania is its main attraction. It is the first pedestrian bridge of the country, which has been build by using RCC deck slabs. It is 183.20 meters long and 3.6 meter wide. 


Sair-Sapata, which is gift to Bhopal’s residents, has a suspension bridge on Prempura Ghat, musical fountain, children’s toy train, glass viewpoint, food zone, restaurant and bar, boat club & children’s play area, natural trail and pathway, lighting, landscaping, ticket plaza, entry gate and neon signage etc.
The toy train for children will run on a .75 kilometer track. Entire family can board it. Four food kiosks have also been erected. Small pedal boats have been introduced near the banks of the lake. Children’s play space has been developed in about two acres of land. Three viewpoints and one glass house have also been built. Entertainment is available for people of all age groups.

MAHADEV PANI, BHOPAL


Mahadev Paani (Lord Shiva's waters) is a small and unexplored tourist spot on the near Raisen road (NH86) about 15-20 kms form main city, near a small village named Sehatganj. It has a small dam, its reservoir, small waterfalls amid extensive rocky surface.




GINNORGARH FORT, BHOPAL


Ginnorgarh Fort is 61 Km far from Bhopal and it situated at a distance of 3 km from Delawadi. Situated in a lovely forest, Delawadi is a beautiful picnic spot situated among lush green forest and amazing natural beauty. 

Tourists can enjoy trekking, camping and bird watching in the area. The historical fort standing on an isolated hill about 1,127 metres long and 266 metres. Broad is situated 3 km away from Delawadi. 

The fort was once a stronghold of Gonds, but fell to Mohammad of the Bhopal State. One important attraction of Ginnorgarh fort is the 5 floor pond (Bawdi in Hindi). Buses ply the route, but from Delawadi to the fort one have to travel on foot.

KOLAR DAM, BHOPAL


Kolar Dam, a major masonry dam, is located about 35 km away from Bhopal, near Lawakhari village in Sehore District.


Constructed across the Kolar River, a tributary of Narmada on the right bank, the dam is about 45 m high. The maximum storage capacity is 270 M cm. The dam serves the irrigation purpose of Bhopal city and the surrounding areas. The nearest airport is Bhopal Airport Sehore Railway Station serves Lawakhari. Kolar is the smallest urban agglomeration of Bhopal consisting of Old Municipal Towns of kolar, Bhopal.
